9th annual Sonoma Lavender Festival

Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, 2008 10 am to 4 pm

Sonoma Lavender is a grower and manufacturer of more than 300 fragrant products and is not normally open to the public. But for this weekend, the public is invited to experience a five-acre lavender farm in full bloom.

LAVENDER COOKING CLASSES: Featuring Mary Bergin, Sur La Table Chef and Culinary Coordinator, formerly of Spago. Saturday 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm; Sunday 2:00 pm. $20. Call 707-523-4411 ext. 1 or ext. 2 for reservations. All profits from these classes will be donated to Valley of the Moon Children’s Home.

DIRECTIONS:
 From Sonoma: Follow the signs for Hwy 12 through Glen Ellen. Kenwood is the next town past Glen Ellen. Drive past the town center and gas station: turn right at the Chateau St. Jean winery sign on the right. Drive up their driveway, until the electronic gate. Turn left at the electronic gate. Sonoma Lavender is right in front of you. Park beside the barn ($5.00 per car).

From Santa Rosa: Follow Hwy. 12 past Calistoga Drive, past Oakmont, past Ledson and Landmark wineries. Turn left at Chateau St. Jean. Drive to their electronic gate and turn left. Sonoma Lavender is in front of you. Park at the Barn ($5.00 per car).
